A refreshed website for Laura Duffield — coaching, philosophy, and a quieter kind of wealth.
Your work is about helping people live more intentional lives — soulful coaching, contrarian writing, and a quieter philosophy of what wealth actually means. The current Rooted Wealth site doesn’t quite reflect that yet. It’s polished, but it reads corporate. It hides the person behind the work.
You want a site that feels genuine, colourful, and alive — closer in spirit to the breakthrough coaching you offer than to anything off a corporate shelf. A place where coaching, philosophy, and your journal live together, and where a curious reader can find you, read you, and book a discovery call without friction.
Core idea: "Wealth isn’t what you have. It’s how you live." The whole site should carry that feeling — freedom, warmth, intentionality — from the first scroll to the final inquiry.
A focused, fully-responsive website with six well-crafted pages, the integrations you need, and a visual identity that finally fits the work.
Hero statement, the "Freedom" feeling, intro to the Integrity Wealth Model, CTAs to coaching and journal.
Your story, your "why", positioning as principal, coach, and academic. Personal and quietly confident.
Services overview — 1:1 coaching, Integrity Wealth Model, who it’s for, what to expect, pricing if desired.
The deeper "why". Contrarian wealth, true freedom, how money serves a life — not the other way around.
Connected to your Substack — latest posts pulled in automatically. (Two options on the next pages.)
Embedded Calendly for discovery calls, a simple contact form, and your email — nothing more, nothing less.
A palette built around coral and purple, the colours you described as resonant. Warm enough to feel human, deep enough to feel considered. Gender-neutral, editorial, and distinctly not corporate.
Reference: The artemis1.framer.website you shared has the right structural confidence — we’ll take that, warm it up with coral & cream, and bring it closer to a journal than a portfolio.
First-pass visual concepts — not final, but enough to feel the direction. Three included in this proposal: Home/Hero, About/Coaching, and the Journal.
Breakthrough coaching and contrarian writing for people who want their money to serve their life — not the other way round.
I help people redirect their relationship with money so that time, freedom, joy and connection finally take their rightful place.
A fast, modern, well-engineered site — no over-engineering, no CMS bloat. Built to last, built to load instantly, built so we can update it easily for you.
| Layer | Tool | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Framework | Next.js 15 | Fast, SEO-friendly, modern. |
| Library | React | Industry standard, robust, future-proof. |
| Styling | Tailwind CSS | Consistent design system, fast iteration. |
| Hosting | Digital Apes servers | SSL, daily backups, monitoring — we run it. |
| Content | Code-managed | No CMS. Updates handled by us via the subscription. |
No CMS, by design. A content management system would add cost, complexity, and one more thing to learn. Instead, small content changes are handled by us as part of your hosting subscription — you email, we update, usually same day.
This keeps the project focused and the price honest. Most projects don’t need more than two revision rounds — and if yours does, you’ll know exactly what it costs.
Your writing on Substack is already a body of work. The question is whether the new site simply connects to it — or whether we build you your own home for it. Both options are valid; here’s the trade-off.
The new site pulls the latest posts from your Substack via its public feed and displays them beautifully on the Journal page. Click a post — you land on Substack. Subscriptions and comments stay there. Zero migration risk, zero added cost.
We build you a full blog inside the site — posts live on rootedwealth.co.uk, fully branded, no external redirects. Existing Substack posts are migrated into a Supabase database. New posts can still be cross-posted to Substack to keep subscribers happy.
Our recommendation: Start with Option A. It costs nothing, keeps your audience intact, and you can upgrade to Option B later if you outgrow Substack. Migration is always possible — just not always necessary on day one.
V1 is the foundation. Once it’s live and you see how readers and coaching clients use it, these are the directions we can grow into — not in any particular order, just options on the table.
Private space for coaching clients — resources, worksheets, recordings, private journal.
Sell 1:1 packages or programmes directly on the site, with Stripe checkout.
Self-paced or live cohort version of the Integrity Wealth Model, with lessons, assignments and community.
Option B from the previous page — migrate fully off Substack onto your own home.
Own your subscriber list, send broadcasts from rootedwealth.co.uk (Resend / Buttondown).
If you ever record — a beautiful audio player and episode pages built into the site.
Free guides, frameworks, downloadables — gated by email if you want to grow the list.
If you ever want to reach beyond English readers — we can add additional languages.
Each of these is quoted separately when (and if) you want it. No pressure, no upselling.
Transparent and complete. One fixed price for V1, one monthly subscription for hosting & ongoing care — plus optional add-ons whenever you want them.
